BIP for Staff: Micro-credentials Master lab

The BIP programme begins with an online session on 1 October 2026 (15:00–17:00 CET). The session opens at 14:30 CET.

Jessica Shinnick will be the speaker. Drawing on her extensive experience in international higher education at the Rotterdam University of Applied Sciences, she will provide valuable insights into fostering international collaboration.

Additionally, the virtual component will provide the opportunity to participants to come together in break out groups to set the expectations for the on-site programme on 19-23rd of October.

10 AM - 4:50 PM

  • 11:00-11:30: Welcome speech

  • 11:30-12:30: Keynote - Ana Tecilazić

In her keynote, Ana will explore how European developments in micro-credentials, lifelong learning, the EU Skills Agenda, and the Bologna Process are shaping higher education, while sharing insights from the DIVERSE framework and inspiring practices from European alliances to foster innovation and collaboration throughout the Master Lab.

  • 14:30-16:00: Start-up workshop for the Micro-Credential labs

In this session, our educational developers, Ruth Jamers and Anouk Vanelderen, will provide a framework for the development of micro-credentials during this week.

9:30 AM - 4:30 PM

This session will provide inspiring examples of two Micro-credentials developed in the DIVERSE framework: a micro-credential focusing on the nexus between artificial intelligence and ethics (PXL-Digital, Autonoma de Lisboa and Technische Hochschule Rosenheim) and the micro-credential Cultural diversity in Practice (PXL-Business, SMK College of Applied Sciences, University Autonoma de Lisboa, Griffith College and UNEATLANTICO)

  • 11:00-12:30: MC expert session with Eva Haug and MC Lab work session 2

In this interactive keynote workshop, participants will learn how to design, develop, and implement a successful COIL within a Micro-Credential.

  • 14:00-15:00 MC lab work 1

During this session, the various labs will further work with the ideas put forward in the previous session with Eva Haug.

  • 11:30-13:00: MC expert session with Lara Sorrentino

Through an interactive workshop, Lara Sorrentino will guide participants through the methodologies and practical steps involved in designing high-quality micro-credentials.

  • 14:00-16:30: MC Lab work session 3

This lab session will be conducted under the guidance of Lara Sorrentino.
